| I am a watercolor artist, a photographer, and an image manipulator. I have been drawing and painting since I was a small child. When other kids where out playing ball, I was experimenting with different kind of media. My real inspiration was my elementary school art teacher, Fifth through Seventh grade, Mrs Sholty. She exposed us to different techniques and styles. I always like watercolor best, but had to learn to let water and the brush do the “heavy lifting” not my control. It is a spiritual thing with me. My first year design professor also had a way of bring out my best. He like to set near impossible perimeters and expect the highest quality and interesting delivery. I owned a little Gallery in East Texas Piney Woods. My work was published in the late eighties by Aardvark Art of Chicago, Illinois. I have sold my work to bank, business, hospitals, institution and, of coarse’ individuals. I also do pen and ink an pencil, which is a medium I have use frequently on commission for drawings of houses and buildings. I love all types of art and all levels except for the pretentious. I love that creative side, finding that unique vantage point I can share, that you may have never notice. I love to experiment and try to invoke those happy accidents that are like the hand of God. I love to do the work and I love artist that are more about the work than the business. It is the reason I try to hold my prices down. So every one can buy it if they like it. |
